Objectives

of the Bundesfach- und Koordinierungsstelle Männergewaltschutz (Federal Coordination Office for the Protection of Male Victims of Violence, BFKM):

• Specialist consulting on the establishment of and coaching for existing men’s protection projects
• Establishment of a network of men’s refuges across Germany
• Standardised case recording and communication of at-risk cases
• Development of quality standards for men’s refuges
• Design of men’s protection services, consulting for policymakers
• Sensitization of the public and professionals to the issues of men affected by violence
• Establishment of emergency helplines for men affected

The BFKM began its work on 1 October 2019.
